CHERRY
RIDGE CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING
Ribbon-Cutting
and Grand Opening Ceremony to Open Webster’s Newest
Continuing Care Retirement Community
WEBSTER,
NY: Cherry Ridge Continuing Care Retirement
Community (CCRC) is pleased to announce its official
grand opening ceremony at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, Nov.
3, at the Cherry Ridge Community Center, located at
900 Cherry Ridge Boulevard. After months of preparation,
planning and several phases of construction, Cherry
Ridge now invites the Webster community and surrounding
areas to take part in this momentous occasion.
The
grand opening event will include a ceremonial ribbon-cutting,
presentations from local leaders and dignitaries, and
a reception and campus tour immediately following the
ceremony. As space is limited, guests are asked to R.S.V.P.
by calling (585) 697-6700 by Thursday, Oct. 27th.
Cherry
Ridge, owned and operated by St. Ann’s Community, is
the newest senior living option in the Webster area
and offers two-bedroom cottages and one- and two-bedroom
apartment homes with several styles, locations and financial
options available. In addition to independent living,
Cherry Ridge provides on-site assisted living and memory
support, as well as priority access to skilled nursing
care and short-term rehabilitation on the nearby St.
Ann's campus in Irondequoit.
"Cherry
Ridge’s grand opening ceremony marks the culmination
of a dynamic collaborative effort," said Eileen Ryan-Maruke,
Vice President, Marketing and Community Relations for
St. Ann’s Community. "We are proud to offer the Webster
community a new senior living option which will truly
benefit the community-at-large."
Gordon
and Helen Jarvis, residents of Cherry Ridge, will be
among those celebrating at the grand opening. The couple
moved to the community to enjoy the maintenance-free
lifestyle. Having lived in Webster for 52 years, they
wanted to remain in the area and stay close to family,
friends and area events. v"We are very happy with our
choice and are quite content at Cherry Ridge," said
Gordon Jarvis. "We decided on The Grove with Den Cottage
and love having a small house, yet not worrying about
maintenance. We plan to take advantage of the amenities
allowing us to socialize with other residents and continue
our active lives in the community."
As
a family of scientists, the Jarvis’ are accustomed to
making thoughtful and researched decisions, with their
retirement no exception. They wanted to make their own
future plans and customize the options that most appealed
to them. Living at Cherry Ridge allowed them to do both.
"We
wanted to make our retirement decisions while we are
still independent and can take a hands-on approach to
planning," said Jarvis. "Living at Cherry Ridge definitely
takes a load off our two daughters’ minds, knowing that
our needs are covered."
